Each year Milwaukee residents recycle over 50 million pounds of materials through the City’s curbside program, but they also throw away an equal amount that could have been recycled. That’s well
over a million dollars worth of recyclable materials that ends up in landfills, not in the City budget where it could be used to provide services, reduce property taxes, and protect the environment.
Click on any of the links on this page to learn more about recycling and what you can do to help. Together, we can pave the way to a cleaner, greener Milwaukee. This year, LET'S MAKE MILWAUKEE CLEAN AND GREEN by recycling our used paper, glass, metal and plastic.
RECYCLE FOR GOOD - MILWAUKEE aims to bring together neighborhoods while providing information and education in preventing valuable recyclables from going to waste in our landfills. This web page is designed to help you get the recycling information you need - quickly and easily, from a variety of local,
state and federal resources. We are also working at a neighborhood level to boost recycling in particular areas of low participation. Check back often for updates or call (414) 286-3500 to learn more!
