NEW FOR 2010!   Guaranteed Recycling Schedules Citywide

From spring through fall of 2010, the Department of Public Works will be collecting recyclables on guaranteed dates for all residents.
Most households serviced with carts will receive collection every three weeks. Residents serviced with bins will continue to receive once per week collection.

How will I know when my collection dates are?

Collection schedules have been delivererd to your recycling cart. You can also visit www.mpw.net/services/garbage_day to view a full list of your recycling and garbage collection dates. A copy of the cart tag containing your entire recycling collection schedule may also be downloaded or printed.

Guaranteed recycling schedule program:
  • Carts must be rolled to collection points on designated pickup dates
  • Carts picked up more frequently than past once per month program
  • More frequent collection will increase recycling capacity to accommodate those extra recyclables that used to pile up between pickups
  • Increased recycling means that we are sending less to landfills, which saves the City money and helps to lower fees and taxes for everyone
